how much drop

how much of a drop is a good drop. I was thinking of going for h&r 1.3 inch drop is this good or still to high( just springs) I have 16 inch rims with 205 /45/16
and I want it to have a little wheel well room. I would even be happy if the wheel well room was the same or a little bit less than stock.

I think about an inch and a half would be reasonable yet still look good. I wouldn't go more than 2" ever, but no more than 1.5 if you live in any place that doesn't have good weather all year round. (i.e. if you live in a place with no snow.)
