magnaflow exhaust...rattling?

magnaflow exhaust...rattling?

question....I just got my exhaust installed last week

but now it's rattling, I can pinpoint the sound, it's coming from the back of the car

has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I heav with a different kind of exhaust but mine wased caused by the heat. The heat of the muffler was causing the corner of the clearence hole for the exhaust to sag and therefore rattle agianst it. That was my problen maybe yours is something inside the exhaust.

oh really? but if it's inside the muffler...what should I do?!....

what a pain....

does anyone else know of what could be the problem, hopefully it's not inside my muffler...

I have a magnaflow and mine hasn't given me any problems. I suggest taking it to a Meineke or other muffler place and having it looked at. I got mine welded together because the bolts were scraping everything on the road and meineke only charged me $5.

it could be inside your muffler...i think my old 93 civic used to do it, coz it was raddling at 1400rpm always especially when it was cold...and it wasnt touchin the body

they are right. most likely your hangers could be vibrating or the muffler could be vibrating the rear bumber. if the internals on the muffler are damaged and rattling you'd have to replace the muffler. go to a midas or other exhaust shop. most will look @ it for free and get you an answer.
