Rep Power: 0 actually the vette starts to pull on the top end, then shuts down. granted the fool filming tried to get a shot of the spedo surring this time, but by the looks of the pull before hand, the vetter was gaining up top.

Rep Power: 0 both are tyte cars...yea the Cobra has a supercharger...but the Z06 is a 5.7L...and the Cobra is a 4.6....if u want NA to NA...the 2000 Cobra R has a 5.4L(even though the Z06 still has a bigger engine) with 385hp & torque to the wheels, those 2 are about right for one another if u think the blower on the Cobra is kinda unfair....but either way....both of those cobra's are 12 second cars...is the Z 12 or 11 seconds in the 1/4? Rep Power: 0 I would take the new Cobra over the z06. The Cobra is rated at 390 at the flywheel, but it is more like 390 AT THE WHEELS!! Plus, the exhaust is so restrictive, that an aftermarket high flow exhaust is gonna add about 60 more horses. I like the price on the Cobra better too.

Rep Power: 0 The Cobra reaches peak torque 1300rpm earlier than the Z06...result is much more power down low. The Z06 has 15 more HP so in theory it should eventually pass the Cobra on a long enough straight. Of course, that's assuming both these cars are stock. The Z06 had no chance unless they raced for longer...but that's kinda hard on public streets.
edit: Ooops, my mistake...the 2002 Z06 has 15 more horsies than the Cobra...however the 2001 has 5 LESS. The Z06 is beaten across the board. Then again, maybe we could throw in the argument that the Z06 might have had a 6-speed and would eventually catch up in 6th gear, but we'd need an oval track to see that.
