I beleive Elmer Fudd said it best: "Kill the waaaaaabit!"

You killed bugs, man! Who's gonna bring me my Candy next easter?

I'm a firm beleiver that if you are dumb enough to cross a street infront of a car then you deserve to die. Thanx Darwin!

Personally, I breake for no small animals. It's not worth the risk to myself or other drivers. I Only brake for dogs, deer, and moose. Saw a bumper sticker once that said, "Brake for moose. It could save your life."

Anyway, shouldn't this be in Off topic?

If it's small enough to fit under the front bumper, just run it over, clean the splatter off and keep going. It isn't worth driving into a ditch to save a rabbit, squirrel or any other furry woodland creature. If it's big enough to cause damage, stop or get out of the way, but don't drive into a ditch. In my old car I ran over 9 little furry things and never did any damage to it.

There is one animal I will NEVER run over again. They say never say never, I'm saying never. My damn car smelled like skunk for a month after one decided to cross the road infront of my car. Damn I hate that smell.
