300hp V8 RWD Focus
Heh, while we're desperatly trying to come up with funds for a K20A2 or custom turbo you can now drop a 300hp V8 into a Focus for far cheaper.
Check it out: V8 Focus

If you'd be kind enough to provide a link to this topic that would be great. A search of "V8" and "Focus" results in nada...
Perhaps if I tried searching for "domestics" and "suck" I would find more info about this car...right?

Yeah, but I just feel like bitching. I really don't understand Honda and their inability to produce power for a reasonable price. The S2000 makes 240hp which is alright, but making only 153lb-ft of torque at 7500rpm is nuts...especially for a $30K car! I4 is fine for Civics and such, but not for a sports car. For $5k less you can get a Mustang GT with 260hp and 302lb-ft torque (at a meager 4000rpm), and you'll even get nearly the same fuel effeciency.
If the Focus wasn't soo .... well ugly I'd be a little more receptive to a car. The dash looks like a 700 pount man sat on it. That whole arching curves theme sucks.
Plus I wouldn't trust that car to last me a couple of years.
That aside though, I agree in that Honda needs to make their cars in general have more HP. Nissan suffered that problem awhile back but are steadily getting out of that problem (140 HP for a "sporty" G20... why??).
It was my understanding that rotary engines have a shorter lifespan?

I've never seen that before, can you imagine how much fun that car would be to drive? When I was in high school (82-85) a friend of mine put a 327 in a Vega, he had all the substructure beefed up and kept the car totally stock looking on the outside except for the 12" rear slot wheels. That car would blow all the so called "Fast Cars" off the road, and thats all that matters, looks don't mean a thing.
