yea maybe but auto's are still faster i had a auto in a 97 civic but im a stick diver for life or until i get old and buy a deville lol

edit
i was thinking about it and i cant see a cvt catching up b/c the auto 2k1 is good between 1st and 2nd so i give it to a auto by a cars length

It all has to do with the gearing. The reason the cvts are design to give you the best mileage and not performance. I heard the fuel is regulated until you past a certain RPM.
