20,000 Mile Service
Weee. I hae had my car since July 2001. I have 20,730 miles on it. Poor car. Anyways. I went in to Honda to have them do the service required every 10,000. $50.00. Kinda sucks. They fill the fluids, change the oil, rotate tires, inspect everything pretty much. Nothing major. I just wanna say again how much I love Honda. I feel bad that some people have a problem with their dealer, but the guys at mine are really cool. It's kinda funny though cause he said that there wasn't anything wrong with mine at all. Which is just awesome considering now mean I can be to my poor Civic sometimes. So that's sweet Hondas rock. I'm happy nothing is wrong with mine.. Of course I don't think I've ever heard of a Honda having anything mechanically wrong with it after 20,000, but I could be mistaken...
Mine's gettin close, about 18K now, so I'll be there in a few more weeks. Mine hasn't had any problems either, which is sweet, considering I drive it really hard. But I also baby it as well, keep it clean, and today I did my first oil change on her (by myself, I've had the oil changed before this). But yeah, my point being that Hondas certainly do rule ..

True.. True. I'm a lot more gentle now than I was a few months ago. I rarely take it hard these days. Every now and then I'll romp on it and get that nice 2nd gear chirp from the tires, just to remind myself that little pull is there when I need it. . Most of my abuse comes from me downshifting from 4th to 3rd when I'm going about 60 for that damn nice power boost and climps the Speedometer up to about 80 .. Which is niice. But that's it. . I don't do it too much. I love my car and the more payments slide by and the more miles I get closer to my warranty being up the more and more I'm being nice. . But yeah .. Honda Power..

I don't think it's technically required to do the 10,000 mileage checks because the car is warranteed bumper to bumper against failure other than misuse for 3 years 36,000. I think it is different for leased vehicles though. It would probably help your case though if you did the 10,000 checks, if you did have a warranty claim. For 50 bucks I would have it done for all the things that you had done that's a good deal, but around here I think they charge about 150 minus a 10% off coupon. I'm going to call and check $50 yes $150 no.
