Porsche Cayenne set to release at Paris

Porsche AG – will be presented to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, which will open on Sept. 28, 2002. In preparation for the unveiling, Porsche has announced pricing for both models. The Cayenne S base price in the United States is $55,900 ($78,250 Canadian), while the base U.S. price for the Cayenne Turbo is $88,900 ($125,100 Canadian).[hr]

people will still buy it just because of the name porsche and since its their first attempt at an SUV. wonder wat the specs are on it but exterior wise it looks like crap.

And yes, this is the ugliest thing to come out of Zuffenhausen in a loooong time...If it wasn't for the AWESOME 996 Turbo, the GT2, and the Carrera GT, I would say Porsche engineers are chumps.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG]

thats not within their heritage of making sports cars but i guess its a good step foward if they wish to expand their market since SUVs have escalated in popularity...i think its ugly tho, just a raised 911

I think it will do fairly well in Europe, but not well at all here in the states. I personally love the styling of Porsche, the 911 especially. Although I do think this is a mistake on their part. People buy Porsches for the styling and performance, these are not family wagons. Well, they shouldn't be.
