My Civic vs. 2002 Civic SI

My best time in the 1/4: 16.8. My normal times: 17.2. Last night there was a Civic SI racing in the sport compact class and his dial in was 18.0. From what I could tell, he wasn't too bad of a driver. Interesting.

SEEMS TO ME WHAT I HAVE SAID IN THE PAST ABOUT THE SI'S BEING SLOWER IS FINALLY COMING TRUE IN YOUR PEOPLES EYES!! remember a while back i spoke to some local dealers and they ALL said that the si's are slower then our cars!!! so seems to me this is even more proof!!

lol the guy couldn't drive. The Si's can easily break 15's with decent driver/track conditions. You don't really "feel" it because the chassis is a lot more solid than the last Si's chassis, but go on a test drive and watch the speedometer needle. I think you might be surprised.

I agree. Dude couldnt drive...the Si has no problem with low 16's to mid 15's.

True that. Actually I'm in Salt Lake City, and my track is at 4225 feet elevation. Moving down to Las Vegas (2500 or so elev) and racing in 115 heat gave me the 16.8. Best time at 4225 was 17.1. So yes, it is interesting math to figure. I can't wait to go to a meet somewhere at low elev and hand some people some humble pie.
