Rep Power: 503 Difference between 2dr and 4dr?
I must be dumb. I thought the only difference was the number of doors. But all the time I see "such and such tail lights for 2dr model" or "brand x spoiler now in stock for 2dr/4dr 02 civics." Is there a difference in body shape? Is there really a difference in tail light shape that some lights can only fit a 2dr car??? Am I just seriously blind and didn't notice this stuff?
Thanks,

Rep Power: 293 I have a sedan, so here's what I'm aware of:
Exterior/Structure
number of doors (duh)
Sedan grill has 2 slats, coupe has 1
Sedan hood and trunk have chrome trim pieces, coupe has body color trim pieces
Angle of the A-pillar is steeper (more upright) on the sedan
tail-lights, trunk, rear bumper all different
(I think the trunk floor sheet metal is different too. The spare relocation (spare on the left side of the outside of the spare tire well) only works with coupes. I've tried to fit my spare up in the same location on my sedan, but it seems impossible to me.)
Interior
Coupes have the tweeter mounted in the mirror sail panels (not sure on which trim levels). Coupe sail panels will not fit sedans (see a-pillar above).
Coupe doors are longer (duh)
(I bet the coupe front seats are different. They probably have some latch on the backside which allows rear seat passengers to tip the seatback forward and slide the seat forward so they can get out.)
Sedan's have the coat rack hook integrated into the rear "oh $hit" handles (between door and ceiling), coupes have a flip out hook (not sure on the coupe).
Sedans have 4 power window switches, coupes - 2 (depending on trim level). (This comes into play when buying interior trim kits.)
The lock thing on the coupe is 3/4 the way down the door (from the front). Sedan's have this thing closest to the B-pillar.
Coupe locks have a little red color that is visible when the door is unlocked.
Coupe locks are flush with the top of the door when unlocked, sedan locks stick up above the top surface of the door when unlocked.
anyone care to add/correct?

Rep Power: 394 The front of the car is exactly the same on both models except for the front grill shape and grill trim piece. From there on back the exterior is totally different. The coupe's roofline is about an inch lower than the sedan's. The coupe's trunk is longer. The taillights are different. The rear bumper is a different shape since it's one piece and attaches differently. The interior is different. The front dash is the same and the center console with the e-brake is the same, but all of the other interior body panels are different. Just cosmetics though, everything else is the same.
