DO 18inch Rims Rub?

I am looking in the market for new rims, i want to get 18's but i always have people riding in the back and so my brother got rims and they rubbed so he could not have anyone sit in the back seat. I was just wondering,

The rims don't rub. The tires do. Now that we got this fact straight it's easy to conclude that if you get a lower profile tire you won't have this problem. If your car is stock height then you deffinetly won't have a problem. Just stick to the tire calculator, it will help you determine what profile tire to use on your rims. What?!?! You want a link? Ok, here it is.

I have 18's with 215/40 tires and they have never rubbed even with 5 people in the car. The diameter with the size tires and rims i have comes out to almost factory, so if you don't lower your car then you'll be fine.
