Im gonna have to go out on a limb and say it might be real. Im posting a pic of my engine from my old Si, and I can spot a couple of differences. Like theres a thing next to the engine that is in the 2k1, where the cruise control is on the Si...im not saying that it cant be fake since you cant see the headlights, but im not gonna say that this is the usual bs either.

look at the upper grill, our cars have either the rs and the "altezza grills", that grill looks like altezza ,BUT, the top part is thick, unlike the altezza grill for our car, looks kinda liek the mugan grill, thick all around, and the housing for the headlight, the turn signals are much wider, like 00 si wide . and one more thing, a biggie, which convince me, look at the radiator cap, ours is incorperated inside the bumper, unlike the 00si
If you're talking about that Pic in my quote it is from my Old 99 Si!! NOT a 2001!!

Swap Verified..that is a 7th gen bay!!!.. Look at the distance from the block to the windshield on the "Swap" Pic..and the distance on the '99 Si pic. The engine bay in the swap pic is much shorter..thus making this quite real. Also the location of the Windshield washer fill cap....
true notice where the clutch fluid cylinder is on my Si(top right corner)...its absent on the pic to the right
also the JDM B16A is more powerful then our B16A2 and A3 about the same with the B18C1

the b16a is more affordable than the b18 in most cases... plus.. it's possibilities are just as endless as any other b series motor. Imagine having that in your engine bay along with the vortech sc.. the vortech si is at 272hp with just minor mods and the sc. (drooling)
page 56 of the winter 2002 Honda tuning (white supercharged s2000 on the cover
This supercharger adds 132hp to the wheels according to Vortech and Honda Tuning Here's their setup: (not too shabby)
V-5 G-Trim SC (575hp potential)
water-air aftercooler, fuel rail, upgraded inline pump
Vortech fuel pressure optimiser,
fuel managment unit
Crane ignition Moroso plug wires
Comptech Sport stainless 4-1 header
A'pexi n-1 stainless steel exhaust

132 whp gain with a supercharger is a bit far-fetched. Consider that the stock Si engine only puts out 160 crank hp (128 whp with 80% drivetrain efficiency), I seriously doubt you could more than DOUBLE the whp on stock internals and still have a reliable daily driver. And I don't care what Honda Tuning or Vortech says.
the fender looks identical to the 7th gen. ones, and the A/C line that goes around the strut tower...but I have a doubt...doesn't the FERIO is supposed to be right hand drive? if it is, why does the brake master is in the left side of the car?? not sure, may be wrong...
H-town.. RSX-S swap sounds a little far fetched to some.. but i believed it before you tried.. now you're about done right? I havn't seen this supercharger in action for myself.. but i don't see why not. Forced induction on a DOHC B-Series motor. It's no skyline, but that motor is pretty bada**
i'm almost SURE if the b16a fit.. then the b18 would as well. If you're going to pay that money.. pay the extra $$$ for the Type R... start yourself out with some hp. With the aftermarket support for the b-series.. you're sure to be able to eat some rsx's for lunch.

I bet that some crazy a$$ mechanic down here in Puerto Rico can do the swap no problem, damn maybe they can put a B18 in there.
Yes, people downhere like to do crazy things with their cars, but they work out pretty well...
i was just reading the k20a2 "htown swap" thread. In the thread he mentioned that import builders in cali (who's doing the swap) said that any motor that will fit in the engine bay should wire up easily.. just have to modify the sub frame?! so, find someone who does work like this.. or go give import builders another $3,000 or so plus the cost of the motor.. and any b-series or k-series motor should fit. He said the b-20 and h-22 were probably too large (figures) I'm going to check into this. I'm more comfortable with the b-18 since i have a gsr already, so i may just go in the direction of a ITR motor instead of the k-series.. i don't want to bite off of h-town.. especially since we're in the same city.
it's very legal.. personally, i've got my mind made up. JDM Spec b18c5 is what i'll probably have my eye out for. It puts out a nice 197hp stock. Not far from the RSX-S... and the aftermarket has been going for years for this motor. Not only that i know people that fabricate turbos for b-series motors all the time. From what i've read about our cars and swaps is that the b-series swap is just as difficult as k-series. So, i'm going to follow in h-town's footsteps and help earn some respect on the track for our cars.

It's more fun if you say cunning linguist, because you get two enuendos, I believe that's how you spell it.
