Advice- If you are looking for a car company to sponsor you, make you car look sweet and get it into a Hot Import Nights. Don't go looking for industry sponsors, they will come to you.

just to reiterate what people have been saying to make ur car look good and clean. also you want to enter shows and win and be able to show that you have won so that you can show any person interested in sponsoring you that you have a show winning car. gettin sponsored is very hard and your car has to basically be already in great show winning condition to get sponsored.

Yeah... and that all sorta defeats the purpose of having a sponsor in the first place...
Unless you make a car so hot that they want you to make another car... now wouldn't that be the greatest job in the world? I hate RJ..

you get a sponsor by going to many, many shows. when you are seen at many shows you will prove to sponsors that you have the dedication to show off their products. you are an advertisement to them, they dont want every punk kid to come and say "i wanna get sponsored!" when all they want is to not pay for their stuff.

you have to start going to shows religiously and prove that you are in to teh scene enough to be a worthwhile advertizing investment.

what you need to do if you want good sponsers,
start writing a proposal which must be professional looking
and start sending them in or when you go to shows start
handing them out to the companies and manufactuers there
cuz they already sponser alot of ppl so they wont just take anybody,
unless youre car is like fully done they wont talk to you, you
got to talk to them, thats the way i got sponsered by
Erebuni, and PAS

I hear everyone talking about going the show route to be sponsored. If you have a car club and want to be sponsored, you can go the race way as well. One of my friends got his whole crew sponsored by going to the track and talking a lot of smack. But he had a car to back him up. "Go out to the tracks, be cocky, and win your races" is what my friend said to do. I'm not sure what sponsor he got, but next thing you know he dropped a GSR engine into his car turboed. Good luck on finding a sponsor.

Nowadays there are other ways to get sponsored as well. I noticed that you have an Injen CAI. You can apply to Injen for sponsorship at their web site. Also check out other companies' web sites. The tell you what you can do to get sponsored. I am looking to get sponsored too, so I thought about keeping this info to myself, but thats not what its about. Good luck!

Oh yeah, what Toretto said is true... most places want a proposal which will includethe shows you plan to enter and good pics of your ride.

SpeedOptions

This is a great article about getting sponsored from SpeedOptions. It tells you to go the portfolio route as Toretto talked about. Pretty good info!
