Is there any particular reason why (Turbo/Swap). . .

I don't know, I've been thinking about this. You see, it just seems kind of odd that all of the new project/prototype civics are sedans for some reason? The HKSturbo'd civic, the HAsport K20A2 swap civic, and the Greddy civic (all shown below) are all sedans . . . is there something I'm missing?

HKS Turbo Sedan

Greddysedan

HAsport Sedan

I mean, not that I mind, because I have a sedan and my heart is SET on doing the swap and turboing a K20A2, but is there a reason for this? Can someone explain?

a lot of the testing goes on in japan and the sedan was completely designed in japan i think that is the reason.

Pounds does have a point. A turbo'ed K20A2 swapped sedan would be the ULTIMATE sleeper (aside from a turbo'ed K20A sedan; know the difference?). In fact, that's what I'm banking on . . .

Granted, that's understandable. I guess I was maybe hoping that the sedan's were somehow better for performance. Now THAT would've been hilarious . . . take THAT coupes!! lol Seriously though, the engine bays are identical in size and layout, so there shouldn't be any installation differences to my knowledge. Confirmed?

Japan doesn't have Coupes? I never heard that before. I know the Sedan was designed in Japan, and the Coupe was designed in California, but I'd never heard that Japan doesn't have the Coupes. Are you sure?

Yep, no coupes in Japan. They do have sedans (RS being the top trim, they even have a 4WD sedan) and several hatches (5 doors too), but no coupes. . .

Sh%t, turbo k20A2 w/ AWD!? That would be hot, but right about now I'd settle for any ONE out of those three, let alone 2 . . .

Our car with a K20A2 will weigh as much as a 02 Civic Hatch.

Coupe
Sedan

Well for the Si, you have to go to it. But it does not matter what car you use, the same wheel base and the added weight isthe doors. The Si weighs more and will be about the weight of our car with a K20A2 swap. Everyone knows that is Japan, Sedans are favored, but not over hatches. Look at all the cars, STi, Evo VII, and Altezza. And for pure racing, they have coupes, except the few known hatches(Type-Rs and Celica).

True, but that just means that we'll be able to OWN an Si in a sedan . . . now THAT's worth working for . . .
