Rep Power: 0 Difference Between US and Canadian Model Civics, Canadian models have....
I have noticed a few differences between the US & Canadian Civic Models, starting with the four door (sedan)
EX models in the US come with the sunroof, just like the coupe does, but here in Canada, the EX model does not come with the sunroof its only an option, and the EX is also our top of the line sedan model....
Now for coupes, the coupe in Canada comes with these....
and in the states you guys only get the 15' Hubcaps that look like these
If you have noticed any other differences in US and Canadian Models, just post it here, im just curious, and i wonder why they have differences in US models and Canadian Models?

Rep Power: 0 Another big difference i just remembered is COLOR
in Canada, we dont have WHITE civic coupe (only lx models now in 2002), white rsx, white mdx, white s2000, white accord coupes all do not exist here in canada, and that really sucks in everyone's opinion!
i dont know why, but Honda doesnt like the color white in Canadian civic/accord coupes only....
Anyone know why?

is that your dimmer?
our dimmer in canadian models is next to the gauges, it looks like the reset button for the odometer, and u twist it there...
do us models have heated mirrors or not

Rep Power: 0 Well, that actually is the headlight tilt adjustment there on the left. The dimmer and odo reset are in the gauges. I haven't seen a US model with heated mirrors yet. Looks like that's for Canada and Europe only.

What I have in that spot is the master Cruise control switch, and next to it, the moonroof controls.

Rep Power: 391 haha yes this is a very strange but intreaguing thread.
The biggest hassle I find between Canada/US models is the model numbers... and how we have 1.7EL and they don't... The Si/SiR conflict is ultra-annoying and they've done it for years... and yet... they have no desire to repair the nuisance it would seem. I could imagine before the internet was in most homes it wasn't much of a problem as no one actually knew... but nowadays word tends to travel globally alot faster
US Models also have the cup-holder cover wheras my LX Sedan does not. as far as I know, its not even an option here. Another thing is the chrome trim around the windows of the Acura 1.7EL - can't get it in the states. But it can be ordered from Acura Canada or Honda Japan so I hear.
The heated side mirrors are such a huge awesome thing here in Canada... I never thought that feature would come in handy but I was proven wrong this winter... it was nice to always be able to see behind my car.
Hey, which model Civic is that taken from? I've never seen that before (I have the Canadian EX coupe). You can actually tilt your headlights higher with that?

Rep Power: 0 Kinda off the subject, but don't some cars have the auto adjusting headlights? I saw some guy start his Lexus IS and his headlights went up, and down, then stopped when they were level. WTF is up with dat? How come we can't have that on our civics in the US? I wonder if you can add that european headlight adjustment option to our cars?

Rep Power: 0 It's not a huge tilt. Just a few degrees. You gotta drive up to someone/something and stop to see the lights move up and down in front of you. You won't see it while driving. And the beam doesn't get above/below a certain point. Doesn't any car in N-Amerika have these ? I remember when I was there 2 years ago and our rented car with a lot of stuff in the trunk was blinding the upcoming traffic. Mind you, perhaps we had to much stuff in the back and it was a Mercury Grand Marquis

BTW there's also some markings on the topwhere you can manualy adjust them with a long tip screw driver or something. Well, there are markings on my headlights anyway.

Rep Power: 0 thx: I was just checking out your "lonesome car". Anybody else in the Hague have the new Civics? I'm guessing they are not as popular there as in North America.

Rep Power: 0 Ronin: There's a few around. But I can count them on 1 hand. If I see one every month that's already a lot. A few weeks ago I saw like 2 in a week. Major event for me. I think I've seen more 3door Type-R hatches already. I don't mind that at all
I think it's pretty save to asume I'm the only one with a Coupe and an AEM CAI and/or EL Reverse Gauges in the whole of Europe right now. That's kinda cool They only sell the Coupe in the UK, Holland, Germany and Belgium
