main't required
i got a civic 2k1 ex 5spd with 8.5k miles on it.. only engine mod i have is AEM CAI.. i just changed my oil and recently i keep getting a main't req'd sign on my console and it only blinks about 10 times after my car starts... what could this be?

i went to the dealer yesterdy. theres some checking from dealer for 79.99 .
i have 11000 miles on my car dont really worry about it anyway.

Rep Power: 0 Normal, probably just reminding you you'll need maintenance soon from your mileage. Or if you wanna DIY, hold down the mileage button (whatever it's called) while the car's off and start your car with it held down. This was posted before.

arg read your manuals!!! the light comes on at 8500 to tell u u need your 10k maintenance. It won't shut off until you or the honda dealership shuts it off. It will come on 1500 miles before every scheduled maintenance.

Rep Power: 0 same thing happened to me.just put the key in the ignition but don't start the car,hold down the odometer button for about 15 seconds,start the car while still holding the button and keep holding it for about 15 more seconds til it cuts off.
