well i just got back from my dealer and she sed its more of a west coast car not an east coast car but yet they are NOT goin to discontinue it they did lower the price only like 800 bucks though so not much of a big deal and she didnt know about the v6 accotrd but the 4 will have 160hp
I dunno... if it doesn't sell that well they won't discontinue it cuz it's an Si. At least it won't stop being sold any time soon but I'd like to see some #s if you ask me. It's probably too early though. It kinda makes you wonder how well the car would have sold if it was a coupe but Honda wants a hatchback. If the Si is a stripped Type R then I wouldn't see why not. I don't wanna argue with anyone who disagrees though.
I think Civic SI better looking than the Toyota Matrix & it's Pontiac cousin... I'm betting they will hold it on the market for now, maybe pull back price - need to do a better job marketing it, hardly see any ads.
Well, for now guess I'll just stay with the our Odyssey & Civic EX - the Odyssey can blow off most of the Civics out there.

I doubt it and even my honda guy I bought my ride from he said the new SI will continue through it just came out and yeah the price tag is high but he said the chance of it going down in price is doubtfull. So thats the news I got just last week.

At the dealership here I haven't even seen one on the lot or in the showroom. Strange. But we have had the same S2000 sitting there since I got my car back in november '01. We also still have a prelude or two from before they discontinued them I think. The one thing I've gotta give the SI's though (besides those awesome seats) is they do turn heads. How many people are staring because they're wondering who shrank an Odyssey? I couldn't tell ya that.
Even though the traditional Si has always been a hatch, the best Si so far in my opinion was the 99-00 coupe. That was a cool looking car with a nice high rev engine. If they were smart I would launch a Si coupe with the 200 hp engine...
If they still had some left-over preludes sitting on the lots down here, then I'd consider trading my car in for one. Bu the last time i saw a leftover w/ no miles was about 1 month ago and they hadnt really discounted it at all. Regardless of the price though, I guess it got sold. I love those cars though. I had an '89 Si. Wasnt fast but it drove really nice. It was my first car. It recently died in March when a 2-ton oak tree in my neighbors yard came down and pretty much cut the car in half.
