The tornado...some car part that increases hp

go here: tornado

Its supposed to increase hp and gas milage. I think its some thing that you put in your air intake that "spins" the air. Thus there is more air that enters the engine and thus more HP

Anyone one else think this is BS? Anyone with experience with it?

im still unsure as to the exact reason why spinning air will compress itself...?

not sure if it works good or not but what it does is create spinning air, "tonado action". That is what the GM Vortec motors do. That is why they are called Vortec cause they create a swirling vortec inside the cylinders.

In theory, it's only supposed to increase combustion efficiency or something like that

The natural air flow of the engine's intake spins the turbine, creating a pressure difference which allows for an increased airflow, doesn't really do all too much, especially with such a small engine as ours. IMO it ain't worth the cash, most of the numbers they post are off rather large displacement engines with stuffy intakes, pretty shoddy data.

All it does is increase efficiency in the cylinder.. swirling air/fuel mixture ignites quicker and burns more completely than relatively stagnant air. any increase in power...if any would not exceed .5% though as compression in our cars only allows for about 85% efficiency in fuel burning. The cat burns off the rest.. sad but true

Cheers

I like this customer testimonial from the web link:

"WOW. You guys really live up to your word. I made a difference right away as soon as I started the engine. Before there was a lag on ignition and take off on my Escort. Not any more; now it keeps up with the Civics and other small race type cars."

I'm so glad I drive a race type car.
