rotating tires fixed my alignment
i posted a few eeks ago about my steering wheel pulling to the right,,,even after 2g's in repairs
well today i went to honda to get an oil change,,and i asked about my problem.
when they were done, they guy told me that he cross-rotated my tires,,and it feels fine. i thoguht to myself, "what a bunch of BS". well to my surprise..on the drive home, the alignment was perfect. i was psyched.
so i was wondering...do neglecting to rotate tires cause such a drastic pull in steering?

THe problem was probably the fact that one of your tires was not balanced properly. I had the same problem with my car. The passenger front tire had a weight that fell off and the uneven tire wear had gotten to the point where it would pull the car a smidge to the right.

Tire balance will not affect directional pull of the vehicle. But uneven wear will. Think of having one shoe on and one off. The difference in height, no matter how slight will make the car pull to that side. You probably make more turns to one side (rt or lt) than the other. That causes more wear on that so the tires are taller on the other side.
However, this would not be fixed by regular rotation of tires, but counter-rotation puts both tires from one side to the rear and both from the other to the front. If they are even up front you will not get the pull to one side.

Like Silver Devil said, "Balance will not effect tire "pull". When I was a mechanic I found that if you rotated the tires and the car quit pulling it could also be a bad tire on the front of the car. The tire may not look bad or have a vibration but the belts could have slipped. I'm not saying thats what your problem is but its a 50% possibility. Keep your eye on your rear tires now.
