Raced an RSX Type-S
So i was delivering a pizza in my 2001 LX tonight and i pulled up to a flashing red stop light. The owner of the RSX Type-S in the left lane gestured his finger forward so I took off and gained a car length lead. By the time I hit 65 in third gear he had a car length on me! He didn't beat me as bad as I expected though.
I have intake and exhaust.
____ the type-s was "bone stock"_______

it sounds like you got a bit of a head start on him, since he just pointed. which is why you didnt get your pants beat off of you..haha..good job tho.

I wonder what the outcome'll be if i raced a Type S? I have a question though, will a Dodge neon r/t with a revolution exhaust, and im not sure if he has anything else in his car, beat our ex 2k1's? I was gonna pick up my brother from school when an R/T who looked raced out was in front of me and seemed to want to pull away when i went beside em and started toying with him. Then he went behind me and started looking my car up and down!!!!!!!!!! Would I have beatin him?
hey I believe the story because i raced a type-s and only lost by a car length and me and him were at a dead stop and raced no head start or nothing. i have an ex auto with injen cai, hp headers w/ high flow cat, and custom 2.5 catback exhasut w/ skunk2 muffler. and for a dohc vtec-i (type-s stick) to beat a sohc vtec-e (ex auto) by 1 car length was well worth the loss. If yall dont believe the story i have 8 people there to watch it.

possible with a really crappy driver...that he got that 1 car lead, but thats terrible even so.
oh and Celica, on the way home from work just now I ate a white GT-S. Twice.

Sooo what. I believe you. They are faster than the Celicas. You probably didnt kick its @$$ (like by 3-4 car lengths, unless it was an auto) but yeah, I'll believe that. The GT-S's arent fast, but they are quick (just like the type-s) but I didnt get this car for its speed. I got it because I liked the way the celica looked with the action package.
Edit: Everyone here thinks now that I think Im better than everyone because I drive a celica. So what. Yeah, its a little faster than the 7th gen but people buy cars for different reasons. I dont think Im more deserving than anyone else here and I think everyone here is on the same level.

I couldnt tell if it was auto or manual...we went from a light on a 2 lane road by my house. He hung by my door until 2nd, by 3rd gear I was ahead probably 2-3 cars, he slowed down to the point that he knew he lost...however it turns out he lives where I do, as I went to turn down the road to get to my house he followed right on my ***...dropped into 2nd and redlined 2nd and 3rd...he didnt bother catching up. Theres a fork where I turn right he turned left.
Wasnt an action package celica...just a white GT-S with a spoiler an asian driving it.

I wouldnt mind going out and test driving one to see what they can actualy do. Problem is, most people would just think Im not going to buy one because of the car I have and not let me. Thats one of the downfalls of being a younger person (20).
