went to california speedway and beat 2000 Si

Hey whats up fellow 2k1ers i went to he california speedway today and went with dissapointment because there were only 3 2k1's there but we all represented well... anyways my best 1/4 mile time was a 16.661 @ 82.42 i am bone stock with crappy firestones anyways i was matched up with my friend that has a 98 gs and i was ready because i can beat him everytime, so the next thing i know i am matched up against EBP civic si i was like this is it this is my benchmark so my hands get all sweaty and all that so when we take off i take him off the line, so i was like ok cool, then as i hit second i was still ahead 1 car length, then hit 3rd gear and i see him closing in but as he did it was too late, i had beaten a SI, then i got my time slip my reation time was a .523 his was .736 he never came back in 1/4, by the ways i have a 2002 civic EX 5-speed. Never doubt a 2k1 thats all i have to say.

R/T: .523
60': 2.479
330: 6.906
1/8: 10.629
mph: 64.84
1000: 13.864
1/4: 16.611

good kill because it shows you're a better driver than the one with the Si but i think they run around a 15.5 stock. in other words, a better driver or one with skill equal to yours would have beaten you with the Si.

it sucks doesn't it

Good kill, they are right, when you do the comparison on the cars his is a better performer but in the end you came out the better driver.

Just everyone remember: every .1 on RT is about 8 feet at the end of the track. That's def how you kick some tails in our cars. Good driving, and finally a believable slip post.

thats retarded and completly misses the point of racint at a track. RT has no effect what so ever on your ET. That means that, yes i can leave the lights in a dodge viper after you finish the 1/4 mile, but ill still be running 12.xx to your 16.8. IE I WIN.

I'm not saying that I dont doubt him. Just would like a little more proof. I mean I could say I ran a 12 second 1/4 mile in my auto 2k1. Eveyone would have their doubts, till they saw some evidence that this really happened, ESPECIALLY TO A NEWBIE

so... i can run a moded corvette, scan the slip then post it as "proof" that it was actually MY civic that was running that time? no. video is the only answer.

Joe, I think you missed the point here. If your racing heads up, the first car across the finish line wins. That's how drag racing at a track works all day long. First one across wins. Doesn't matter what your ET is. It's the same in bracket racing too. Now, on the other hand, if you just want to see who has the fastest car, then compare ETs. BUT, if your RACING at a DRAGSTRIP, then first one to the top end wins. So, if you want to sit at the tree in your Viper and wait until I cross the finish line, I will kick your shizzle all day long. You may have the faster car, but I'm winning the DRAG RACE. So, back to my original point. Here's how it works: every .1 better RT equals about 8 ft at the end of the track for cars that run our ETs with roughly equal times. That's how you punk faster cars.

BTW, "bracket racing" works by running the most consistant time. IE if you say your car will run a 15.3, and you run a 15.2 while the viper sayd hell run a 11.5 and he runs a 12.5 EVEN IF HE FINISHES FIRST, you win. die. die. DIE!

ive been waiting to use this...

Joe, usually you hit the nail right on the head. But today you musta hit YOUR HEAD (or something) Let me take you to school on bracket racing. If I say my car will run 15.3 and I run a 15.2 I LOSE NO MATTER WHAT. It's called "breaking out" and is an automatic loss, unless the other driver red lights (leaves the line too soon). Here is how bracket racing really works. If my dial in is 15.3 and the Viper's is 11.5, then I get the green light on the tree 3.8 seconds before the Viper. Now...if we each have a .500 RT and run exactly our dial ins then we would tie at the top end. However, that never happens. So, again, as I stated in my previous post (in which you got own3d by the way) (I know, I know, it doesn't happen often), first one to the finish line wins the race, even in bracket racing. The only exceptions being a red light automatically looses, and if both red light, then the one who red lights less wins, or if you run faster than your dial (as in your post above) you "break out" thus loosing, unless you both break out then the one who breaks out least wins. So, JoeB16, edit your post above and put your little picture away and save it for a day when you are feeling a little better, because this just isn't up to your normal standards bro.
