I WANT STICK

man i have 2002 auto ex , but i really want to get stick now.. soooo fun to drive you know what i mean.
i have around 10000 miles on now. good condition! clean !
im thinking about to trade in my car for stick. but i wonder how much i have to pay more for same model. i could get cheaper model to pay same monthly payment. but not sure what model i should go for.

auto is good somewhat but... relly boring. i want to drive stick now! awwww but cant belive my parent wont let me get stick when i got my car. gotta find a way to get stick now. im going to talk to my parent tonight... since they pay for the car.

I feel the same way. I want to trade mine in for a 5spd, but the rents won't go for it.

Yeah Automatic SUCKS A$$ BIG TIME!

My first 2 cars were autos, this one is stick.....eventually I'll buy an Auto again....when I'm 75 and my only reason for driving is going down to the pharmacy to get some Depends and enemas....

I feel you. When I bought my 2k1 I had to have a 5-speed. I couldn't see it any other way. It doesn't feel like performance without it being a manual!

while stick is faster and a lot more fun to drive, auto cars if u race around in it are easier on the transmission. just hit the gas hard and youre "racing". manual is a lot different to race in.

only problem is i race too much, i burned out the syncromesh in 3rd recently, thank god for warranty.

my very first car was an '86 subaru {turbo...} w/ a 3-speed auto. that was enough to traumatize me into only driving manual tannys now.

If i lived ina big city like la or chicago where theres traffic all the time theres no way i would buy stick. Would be ridding the clutch all the time and having to replace it like every month.

The very reason why I always say I hate 3rd gear... it wears out the quickest. I try to use all the gears sparingly, especially if I have to cruise in 3rd. Some of my friends would drop the car to 3rd gear on the freeway... bleh... fun, but not always the wisest decision for 3rd gear.

Try to prove to your parents about the benefits of driving a stick (more control, easier braking, etc.). If you have any speeding tickets, or they have to use the car, then you're most likely screwed.

Auto's are ok on SUV's and expensive cars but not on a civic in my mind. It has little power and economy car so I like to have the feeling of a sort of sports car even though its not

But yeah I would try to get a stick if you really want one.

Nick

If you have to commute to work, stick with the auto.
