Manual shift trim conversion...
Dont know if this is the right place, but i havent seen many members rides that did the automatic shifter/manual trim DIY conversion. Got my kit and just put it in. Hardest part was dealing with the blaring heat outside. Not quite sure if this is the right place for the thread, but general ramblings seemed like a good place to post so a lot of people could see this. I also dont know how to link to my ride, so just do a quick search for my car, its the last 2 pics. Again, sorry if this is the wrong place, but i just wanted to let anyone who was thinking of this and not sure that I just did it and can look up my name instead of hunting around the member rides trying to find ANYONE whos done this (not many from what ive seen) Hope someone/anyone finds this useful. And if anyone has any ???? just feel free to ask me, i have the same s/n at AIM.

The job you did was great, and it kind of reminds me of the "you might be rice if...you put your car in neutral at stoplights so you will roll back and little and make people think you have a manual transmission." But, hey it looks great.

Rep Power: 0 Ok, I got the parts you need to do the trim conversion from a member of our own site here, Hondawerx.com hell sell it for 35 bucks shipped, jsut e-mail and request it. Yea, and any aftermarket auto shift **** will do the job. And also to clarifiy, i have to stand behind the idea that this particular "mod" cannot fall subject to "rice" slamming. Seriously, if you go out and look around, there are a LOT of automatic vehicles that come stock with a shift boot. I just wanted to give my car a bit more personality from the crowd, and I am intending on performing another DIY to add the gear tower symbols back into the center console, similar to the way a corvette c5 is set up if anyone knows what that looks like. Also, I will probably be swapping to something a bit more "show" as far as the shifter goes, I got a deal on the ichibahn one and had to pick it up.

Rep Power: 334 thats pretty damn good.., i guess i just buy the trim ring and the boot and it should just "plug" all into place.. cool.. thats my next mod.. i really like the look and also i hate having crap, dust, dirt, liquids fall into that lil shifter area.. and one time i even drop that plastic clip peice (the peice that covers the key hole insert) into the shifter thing.. so i had to take the whole thing apart to get it out!!.. erR very annoying.... the boot will solve all my problems [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 417 you have the wheels i want.. got quoted 1250 with falken tires in 18 but their on back order... just wondering, how much did you get yours for?
and ya not really feeling the shift ****, should get the razo ones where there's no button, you just push it down to shift it...

I like having the shift **** button, getting a push down shift **** would make it look more like a stick, and then yes, everyone here would be allowed to pass the soy sauce my way....

Looks pretty nice OmegaBlue. I also got it from Greg for 35 shipped. How did you take off your silver gear box...I see that you took it off with the black plastic bezel. And don't worry about LikeWEEEEEEEEEE, he's jus too stupid to understand that a shift boot can make a car look nice. My gear box is all scratched up and it looks bad... I think by puttin on the boot it will look cleaner. I have so much crap stuck to that silver gear box its not even funny, I can barely see the D.

ps - let me explain something to you. i have an iq greater than 130. i went to a first tier college (left cause i didnt like the fraternity scene, going to find a non-frat college). i have a 7" *****. ladies call me hung considering im only 5'8" tall. one girl complained of her neck being really sore after a night of some deep throat action. i might be small, but this afternoon another ricer like you thought he could mess with me...pulled up next to me and started all this crap about how he could beat me up and demanded that i get out of the car for a fight. upon seeing me get out of the car and walk up he quickly left. pretty funny considering it was on rt. 118 and i was parked in the middle of the road.

Its not my style cause I think it looks old school I like the look of the new automatics, The C5 looks alright with the auto boot but that shift **** is kinda weird.

Rep Power: 0 Yea, this shift **** does look kinda long in teh pics, but it looks good in person, its almost teh same color as my car. Im not too big on getting anything that will fit shorter on teh shifter, like i said before im not really trying to make it "look" like a manual and the only short shift ***** i can find are the push down type r ones that just look like *** anyways.
