heh.

those things does high 17s to low 18s...

thats what an auto civic does (and the manual ones aren't much better, low to mid 16s with decent driver..)

dont waste money on a cai to beat suvs. ur car wont be any faster without serious investment of money.

supercharged 210 hp vs stock 132 or whatever hp. weight difference of maybe 1000 or less lbs. the math makes sense so dont feel bad. some suv's are fast. my dad's acura mdx whips the poo out of a lot of cars.

Damn, how much power do you think an intake is supposed to give you?

Why you racing if you have an automatic? Auto Civics tend to be much slower than any other auto cars and an intake is basically only good for a little power and sound.

Do u know how to launch an auto? u hold the break and give some gas but don't move, that way ur rpm is higher and when it hits green, floor it and off the break.

I have tried this but it doesn't seem to help. In fact it seems that I launch slower. I heard this somewhere but not sure if it's true: holding the brake wouldn't really help because the car is FWD. Is that true?

i don't think its as slow as all u guys think. its probably ur driving. i've raced done up tegs, civics, crown victoria and my car is stock and have lost them all but that's not bad. the reason i lost is because i have auto and when i floor it, that split second the car thinks to downgear is where he pulls ahead. when it drops they can't go any faster then me.

I've stayed ahead of a Eclipse GT in my Auto LX

Was about 2 1/2 - 3 car lengths behind an older SI with exhaust from a 5 mph roll on

Some older Ford Probe was on my ***, i swung over to the left lane, slammed the gas, he did the same, but i pulled on him by a lot... then had to stop for the next red light
