Thinking about trading
It looks like alot of people are disapointed with their civics. and i'm one of them. The car doesnt respond well to mods. and there sems to be a lack of support for it by the aftermarket companies. I went to Dynamic Turbo in Miami ( A very reputable shop down here) wanted to get a cat back installed, and the guys there told me "Dude save your money and get a different car"
He told me that companies are turning their backs on the new civic. And that he belives there isnt going to be much support for it.
Well I just wanted to see what you guys think about the future of the 7th gen. Before I make my decision.

aftermarket companies turning their back on the CIVIC?!?! are you outta your freakin mind? the CIVIC is probably the most modded import out there.. next the the integras and preludes and accords.. probably even more so.. do you see how many memebers are on this site? its takes time to RD and makegood products..
everyone of us on here is a buisness opportunity for those big companies.. and if the big companies want to ignore us.. its their loss.. and another smaller companies gain..
give it two more years .. or atleast 1.. then the rsx swaps will bound to be perfected.. and then become as common as civic B series swaps..

it depends on how u feel about losing money. cuz if u trade it in u will definately loose alot of money but if u really need the power then u might as well so then u'll be happy with the car u have.
bro, give it some time. just wait a bit.
me personally... im waiting to see what happens with htown's k20 swap. once theres some press on the viability of the swap, the future of the 7thgen civic will be brighter and the aftermarket will capitalize on that

the cars been out for to years. companys haven't turned they're backs, they're trying to make the parts they come out with be the best for the car. there are new parts to this day still comin out for 4th gen civics, give it time. In the mean time make it look good, there are plenty of parts for that.

Im with Voice over here there is enough for this car for it being out for 2 years the last few gens of civic havent changed to much so swaps were available when they came out as well as all the other parts that were interchangable but i say give this car more time and there will be turbos and swaps and everything else but when Honda redid everything with this model it set back all the "tuners" because they had to redo everything IMO i havent had any problems i have had nothing but complinments from everyone IMO i think this car was worth it...but im a patient guy if your the instant satisfaction type then you bought the wrong GEN......so i love this car

How many exhaust systems do they make for our cars? Intakes? headers? Pulleys? the plasma ingition thing...konis, tokicos on the way, short-shifters, clutches, strut bars, ecu chips, fuel/air mix comp..
We have a lot of parts out for our cars. I didn't even mention all the body kits, spoilers, fenders, hoods, etc.......
I think the tuner shops bash the vics because it's a new engine and they don't have any high dollar parts to sell you yet. We already have almost all of the main stream mods. It's a new engine with a ulev rating. It's going to take time. Don't worry...look at all the modded civics you see everyday....there is a huge market just waiting for someone. Just remember, as long as there is money to be made, someone will come to make it....trust me
If you ask me, light-weight rims are the best mod for our cars to improve acceleration.
Edit: What about the Gude Package! We should get some feedback from a couple members very soon!

Ok I feel much better. Is just that when you go to a shop, you are willing to put $700 down on the table and they dicurage you to buy. I felt like a dumb *** for puting money on a car thats its not going to respond. I understand that the car is new, but Im just thinking, how much more money I'm I gona have to spend to make the car at least quick. That head package sounds promising, but how much is that gona cost? Engine swap? $6000 for a K20? I dont think so. Turbo? maybe. $5000 for 6psi.
About another $100 a month for an RSX with full warranty.
or even a sentra spec-V.
Sorry, i'm just frustrated.
