I am want to get my windows tinted... but I was told in California you cant tint the driver or pass. windows at all!?
Also anyone know about california laws on driving with underlighting kits on? I looked online but couldnt find it anywhere....

hey polaris...technically you can't tint the front windows at all in cali, but the cops won't pull you over for that unless they want to be jerks....mine are tinted 20% front and 5% rears....

OT: what part of oside you in? cuz im from there too....

I have the same tint as spoied got. I was under the impression you could have the windows tinted until someone cleared that up for me. They have the tint laws posted on the cali highway patrol web page. As for the lights. That is a 4 sure nono. You can not be in motion while the lights are on. The car must be parked/not in motion to have the lights on and not get a ticket.

One of my friends is a SoCal 'riff and he stops people for tinted front windows all the time. He doesn't usually write them up, he uses it as an excuse to stop people he suspects might be slimeballs (warrants, drugs in the car, etc).

I have limo tint on the rears and medium on the fronts. I usually roll the windows down whenever I'm near an officer.
