If you really want to get out of it, it's very simple. Go out a get a good lawyer. It's only 2 tickets and you will feel the hit on the insurance for the next 3 years. You have to decide whether you will come out better paying a lawyer or paying the higher insurance.

Oh, and you're young and a male. You are going to speed and have some fun. Just try to keep it reasonable.

Yeah, search some of the other posts where I've given lengthy advice as far as handling summonses. You should check with your state's DMV to check specific points/penalties. I know in New York State, any subsequent offense of the same charge within an 18 month period requires a manditory appearance to the court.

Hey man I live in ohio also I think because you are under 18 you might lose your license for 30 days I am not for sure but I would check with the bmv. Because ohio has passed alot of new laws for young drivers. It all depends what you got a ticket for I know if you have two speeding tickets in 12 months the second one is automatic 4 points so you would have 6 points total with both tickets. But you need 12 points to lose your license this is for a adult.

Many states do not offer community service for traffic infractions or violations. I know my state doesn't. As someone else mentioned, check into a possible suspension situation due to being under 18.

I live in Illinois. When I was 19, I got my license suspended for a year, for getting more than 2 moving violations in less than a year. I guess if you are under 21 here and you get more than 2 a year, you can get a 3 mth suspension for each one. I ended up getting a lawyer and cut that term in half. Get a lawyer brothah, and slow your *** down. Losing your license is the worst. Would hate to see that happen to you.

That comment wasn't call for at all... How do you know his mom or dad bought him the car? and if they did who cares? and how do we know that he was speeding.

As far as the ticket. I'm not sure how other states work... But I got my license in Washington (state) You can get 4 tickets (moving) in 12 months or 5 in 24 months after that you are on probabtion for 12 months and you can get no more than 2 tickets in that 12 if you do, your license will be suspended for 60 days.... Once you are on probation they will send you a letter in the mail to let you know.
