is there a proper way of mounting a muffler on the car? because i just spent 50 bucks to re do it so it wont point down. now it dont touch the bumper, but its still pointing downwards a lil by about an inch. is it supposed to look flat against the ground? cuz mine looks angled a lil downwards. and it still touch the bumper but in the back part. i dont wanna do no cutting and stuff on the bumper. im so mad. they had to cut the hangers and little stubs of the previous hangers were left there. they said they cant get rid of that. then the a55hole drops my muffler on the floor bending the fu<king tip. it was so horrible.

sounds like u got hosed, what kind of muffler? they should hang similar to the OEM one, just more to it than that, sticks out the back strait

if it's one of those after market universal (weld on) w/ big tip, you gotta cut the bumper... and if the dudes dun it right it should look how you want it to look....

Ok... you got screwed... I dunno what kind of muffler you got but for it to angle just enough so it's not on touching the bumper. I have the Skunk2 exhaust and the way it's made makes the tip touch the bumper... thus melting it.

When me and my friend put the muffler on after slightly bending the hangers with our feet, the tip ending up being... it's 3/4 of an inch away from the bumper. (This is the stock bumper.)

And it's angled perfectly... it would help to tell what kind of muffler YOU have though.
