0-60 runs with gtec...before and after mod. numbers
first off, i did everthing posible to make the Gtech as acurate as possible, i know some debate its acuracy, and followed the directions. I used a flat staight road, and claibrated it right. i used the same road for my STOCK run, as my MODED run. so i tryied to eliminate the variables, even temp was close....
also i have 2 subs in my trunk for all runs..
Stock tomes were
8.5
8.4
8.38
now with Injen SRI, APEXI dunk, no resonator, on stock tires
8.1
8.03
7.91
those firestones suck a fat one......(i just sold my 17s and kuhmos, MUCH better launches with those) im confident i can get down to 7.7 7.6 and 7.5, with out subs and with my new lightweight rims and tires comin.

02 celica.....UM i DID say firsty off that they have been known to possibly be a lil off......but either way, i did improve my times by a half second. i eliminated as many variables as possible.....all i was showcasing was the improvements. Pedrito, i did these runs by my house late at night...there is a PERFECT road for 1/4 mile times and 0-60

Would that be 87th St. , just West of LaGrange? hehe, I know the road.
The g-tech is accurate to +/- 0.1 seconds. The only requirements of the gtech are:
1) Has to be mounted in the center of the car, perpendicular to direction of travel. I've fooled around with this one by skewing to see the difference. Doesn't affect that much, unless you really botch it up!
2) Have to do the 0-60 run on a flat road with the gtech zeroed. This is the one that makes the most difference!
I've done my personal runs already. Keep in mind I have a LX, so, it's a lot slower than a EX.
Stock runs(average of 6 runs taken with fastest and slowest not included):
10.29 seconds
After AEM CAI & Magnaflow Catback installed(averaged as well):
8.43 seconds
With some more practice launching, I should be down to 8 seconds or so. The stock firestones suck, I can't get a decent launch!

I ran 0-60 and 1/4 times with the g-tech and got 6.9 0-60 and 15.3 1/4 with AEM CAI & pullies, HPracing header w/ high flow cat OBX cat back exhaust revo SS shifter & stock tires

Those are pretty good times. I have been thinking about getting the g-tech as well as that type-r ****. I am a firm believer that the civic can hit 60 in under 8secs with i/e/h--with the high-flow cat, and most importantly, some light-weight rims. I roll around on 15 rota subs on the stock tires. Doesn't look the best because of the big sidewalls but I saved a good amount of sprung weight and they say for every pound of sprung weight you save, it's like saving 5lbs of unsprung weight.
Also, even if the g-tech was off by a .5sec, along as it gives consistant readings it's a perfect tool for judging the effectiveness of new mods.
