now THAT'S some MORE POWER!!!
(in response to JoeB16's NHRA post)
COOL JDM HONDA FACTS
* One JDM Integra Type R's 1.6L B16A (with CAI and cat-back) makes more horsepower then the first 8
rows at Daytona
* Under full throttle, a NSX Type-R engine consumes 1 1/2 gallons of nitro
per second, the same rate of fuel consumption as a fully loaded 747 (Type R) but
with 4 times the energy volume.
* The B16A's Mugen supercharger takes more power to drive then a stock hemi makes.
* Even with nearly 3000 GRM (Grains of Rice per Minute) being rammed in by the
supercharger on overdrive, the fuel mixture is compressed into nearly-solid form
before ignition. Cylinders run on the verge of ricelock.
* Dual magnetos apply 44 amps to each spark plug. This is the output
of an arc welder in each cylinder, and the sparks are pure blue. However, some
racers prefer the JDM NSX Type R's latest development -- 1000-volt Tesla Coils replace
each spark plug to create not just a spark, but a 6000-joule plasma arc inside the cylinder.
* At stoichiometric (exact) 1.7:1 rice/fuel mixture (for nitro), the
flame front of nitromethane measures 7050 degrees F and is bright blue.
At this temperature, the rice grains explode to 6 times their size -- the pressure
created is stored until injected with a proper ROS (Rice-oxide System) setup. Note that
with a JDM Integra, Prelude, and NSX, it IS possible to use ROS in conjunction with NOS,
as long as a BOS (Blue-optical system; a matrix of blue LEDs inside cylinder head) is used.
* Nitromethane burns blue. The spectacular blue-white flame seen above
the stacks at night is raw gallium, indium, and nitride -- dissociated from atmospheric
water vapor by the LED washer nozzles.
* Spark plug electrodes are totally consumed during a pass. After
1/2 way, the engine is dieseling from compression -- plus the blue glow of exhaust
valves at 1400 degrees F. The engine can only be shut down by cutting
off its fuel flow, or soaking the engine bay with the APC fire extinguisher which is
factory installed in JDM Hondas.
* if spark momentarily fails early in the run, unburned nitro builds up
in those cylinders and then explodes with a force that can blow cylinder
heads off the block in pieces or f*ck you up, boy!
* Type-Rs twist the crank (torsionally) so far (20 degrees in the big
end of the track) that sometimes cam lobes are ground offset from
front to rear to re-phase the valve timing somewhere closer to synchronization
with the pistons -- this is how VTEC operates in JDM motors.
* To exceed 300mph in 4.5 seconds, JDM Hondas must accelerate at an
average of over 4G's. But in reaching 200 mph well before 1/2 track, launch
acceleration is closer to 8G's -- yet this IS still possible with even a stock JDM Hybrid Civic!
* Drivers shut off before the finish line, or even dual parachutes will
not stop the car -- the only other option is to throw the transmission
in to reverse and NOS it!
* If all the equipment is paid off/stolen, your crew worked for a hookup on altezzas, and for
once NOTHING BLOWS UP, each run costs $1000.00 per second -- but that's the price of
killing Mustangs.
* JDM Integra Type R's reach over 300 miles per hour before you have read this
sentence.

Um isn't is a 1.8L B18C5? not a 1.6L B16A2 (civic sir2 and type r's )?

NO, the JDM ITR engine is the 1.6L cuz it has Mugen LED fuel injector nozzles!!! Don't post BS like that, JoeB16!!! Everyone knows who to believe!
Edit: well, regardless, ANY JDM engine still puts out more power than the first 8 rows at Daytona... lol...

The funny thing is that Bhayes82 was most likely working and getting paid 15$/hr to do this.....funny ****, people try to laugh and not be so jusgemental on the proper engine he reffered to.
