Upper Grille- shady idea or OK?
I like the look of our cars with the upper grill removed but was wondering if I took it out, would it be easier/more accessable for a thier to get under my hood without the grill in?

Greg made a sweet DIY upper grill like platnumbomb's last summer and it was tite, but he used a little thicker material. I prefer the 1/2" stretched aluminum for stuff like that. It is kinda hard to cut at times, but the quality and durability is awesome. I have that stuff in my lower grille and I love it.

I would think it would make it easier to get at the latch or the cable for it and some one could potentially use this as a start point to jacking your stuff.

answer = YES it will make it more accessible for theft. I have the alteeza grill in (the one pictured) and it looks nice, but I didn't put the grey pice back in cause it wouldn't fit. I was told that I need to get the one from the sedan to fit into my coupe but haven't done it yet. So for now you can get into it but is a little bit tricky, without any grill you can pop the sucker with just your hand + if something falls in there you're gonna mess up your air intake (the big silver ac thing).
