Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
Any fans of this car? I actually really dig the look of it, its unique and it stands out. Looks very futuristic and sleek. Definitely not a generic looking ordinary car.
Anyone driven one before? How does the CRZ compare to civics for handling, ride quality and overall performance and reliabilty?
Is the interior as small as it looks?

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
I have no opinion on it, I never spend more than about 10 minutes in any car at a time except my own.
Go drive one.
Can come with CVT or stick shift trans.
Check out the fuel economy numbers and compare to any newish Civic, plain and Hybrid both.
Reliable? It's a HONDA. The powertrain is proven well enough.
The IMA battery is NiMH on 11-12 and Li-ION in 13-15 CRZs. (Li-ION should be better choice IMO)

I have no idea. I have a civic, you asking about crz. There's crz forums for that.
Also this section is for 7gen civics, no relation to your post

Holy poop, you ain't gonna believe this marketing shizzle
http://www.honda.com/newsandviews/ar...spx?id=8365-en
With one-third of all photos taken by people aged 18–24 being selfies, and more than one million selfies being taken each day1, Honda is introducing a unique trim model to appeal to this key, influential segment. The Honda HR-V SLF, on sale in the U.S. this summer, features 10 selfie cameras throughout the vehicle to capture every moment of the day,
AND there's a video

Anyway..... I don't have sales and accessory brochures, not my department. I only have installation instructions, you can probably see those on the estore site.
The SC kit is only for the 6 speed manual trans version.
Here's the public site for it

I saw Jackson Racing is selling a kit that looks eerily similar

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
A selfi car!?! That can't be real. Not sure if that is marketing genius or stupid?
The JR supercharger kit is nice. They make one for the Fit also. CARB approved to keep everyone happy.

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
I can hear the complaints now: These cameras make my butt look fat!
Apparently it is not a joke. The announcement was on Hondas main dealer page this morning. My boss already knew about it when I walked in this morning.

BAZINGA! as Sheldon Cooper would say
I wonder if they should have branded the new NSX as the NXZ?
I think it would be really cool if they left it hybrid added the turbo and took a page from mclaren and used the battery power to fill in the gaps with turbo spool up and shift changes.

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
I certainly hope it's a prank..... but for as much stupid crap as they put in cars now, it sure wouldn't surprise me one bit if it is real.
EDIT: NOW there are sites saying it's a joke. There sure weren't any last night when I found it.

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
I saw that. I dig the look, plus a factory 1.5L turbo vtec? But no MT option? Boooooooooooo
Also, no numbers posted. Makes me sad
edit: I wonder if the 10thgen is gonna rock this mentioned 1.5L turbo they've been teasing us with for the last year and some.

Re: Thoughts on the Honda CRZ Hybrid?
Apparently the MT is on the way out because auto's are just as efficient now and "not ashamed to shift into 5th at 40mph" that makes me sad too. I've never owned an auto and hope I never will either. Happy to hear they are going to make a Civic HB again too as long as it's not fugly like the 6th gens. I had to laugh at the long hood giving the 'sense' of more power. I hated the recent Civic designs I'm glad they're are done with them.
On a similar note they announced on the news tonight that the Civic is the #1 most stolen car in BC.
We're #1...we're #1...we're #1...we're #1...

Performance is lacking quite a bit. The car is pretty undrivable in econ mode (really highway only). No ***** with it on. Gas mileage really isn't that great for a hybrid either (36/39). I'd just wait till the fall when Honda releases it's new 1.5 turbo engines. it's only a few months away.
