NEW CAR, NEW TO THE BOARD, CHECK IT OUT
Hey everybody. I'm so glad somebody directed me to this board.
Just wanted to share with you guys my new 2001 Civic LX. Just bought it a week ago. Today I found a great deal on some 2002 CIVIC SI rims and put them on. The pics are on my website. Check it out, let me know what you think.

<< welcome......and nice loooking 4 dr....so what would u like to do first? >>
Thanks. Um, I had to convince my wife the SI rims would be a good investment.
I would like some suggestions on how to improve cornering without lowering it though. (Sway bars etc)
Thanks.

Nice lookin' ride. But I'm kinda biased since I also have a silver sedan.
Probably the single biggest improvement you can make to cornering is wheel/tire combo. Switching from the 185/65R15s to 215/45R17 made a HUGE improvement in steering response and cornering.

u can try getting a strut bar, tat'll help a lil. but i have to agree wif InanimateCarbonRod abt the 17s improving the cornering.

Welcome to the forum! Remember to read the Off Topic FAQ, turn on your PM's, and get a feel for which threads go where. All this is to prevent you from getting flamed before you post. Not by me mind you, although I might join in if the mistakes are painfully obvious.

<< Welcome! How much did you pay for those Si rims? Did you get them from the dealership? >>
I paid $400 w/ tires. They were at a performance shop that I went to just to check some prices. I saw these and I asked,"How much?" "$400." I was like sweet. He then told me some guy had just bought a 2002 SI and had come in like the day he bought it and took these rims off. I said,"Put them on my car."
SI rims from the dealership cost $200 a piece, plus tires. I'm glad I found this deal.
