The Good: plenty of power, fast as hell
The Bad: mods were really expensive, tires cost a fortune, lotsa trips to get it fixed, unreliable
i allways wanted a civic i bought the camaro cause i needed a car when i joined the air force and i got a good deal....(cause it was a POS) and after blowing 3 thousand dollars in repairs cause it was allway breaking down i traded itr in for the VIC... couldnt be happier

Rep Power: 295 bought a '91 Escort in 1997.. then this past december someone backed into me >_< I was saving to get an RSX but more and more the civic looked more appealing (I love the sleeper look result) so I bought a civic one week later. I repaired the Escort and sold it for $2,000. btw, the camera makes it look pink, it's really like the same red as the civic.

Rep Power: 0 Last car was actually a truck 1989 Isuzu 4x4, 2.6 liters disk brakes on all four corners, great fun in the snow here in Minnesota and curbs never stopped me. The bad about it was it was slow, loved to use gallon and gallons of gas, tires cost about as much as nice tuner size 17" for the civics, handled like a truck on on mud tire (because it was).
I gave it up because 3 of the 4 body mounts under the cab rusted away, needed a $400 dollar clutch, and $350 brake job. I just kicked in a few hundred more for a down payment on my civic.

Rep Power: 0 it was a 1999 mercury mystique, the 3 year warranty was just about to end(2 more months), and the a/c already broke, a few dents near the wheelwell and the whole car was just breaking down, in need to get rid of it

Rep Power: 0 I had a 1997 Dodge Neon. It was a nice car, until after about 3 years when it started breaking down consistently. During a 6 week period, it broke down 3 times costing me $400, then $200, then $500 (I didn't even drive it that hard). I decided I had had enough of the American cars, and bought the most reliable car I could find (that also had some after market support). The Neon was pretty cool. It was relatively quick and it drove like a go-kart. Unfortunately, it was a Chrysler, which meant the build quality was absolute trash.

Rep Power: 0 1987 Volvo 740 Turbo with 200k miles- it was my dad's before, and I basically grew up in that car. it was a GREAT car and probably would've lasted another 200k, but the interior, electrical system, etc started to go out, and replacement parts were just way too expensive. but ~180hp and 250lb/ft of torque available before 5000rpm are things i'll never see on my civic.

It was auto, and I never got killed, killed a lot of civics. It made 135MPH, it was awsome. Too bad I had to get something cheaper, so I changed the lease for the civic, and it was the worst decition, I ever made.

5spd, factory Pioneer 2-ways all around, silver ext. / black int., 2-door hatch, 8500RPM redline ( begins at 7000 RPM ), 1.6L DOHC D16A (113 HP / 98 Tq)
I drove the beeyatch too hard knowing the head gasket was lettin alot of oil leak on the block, she died recently, forced me to get the Civic.
I won races with this car left and right. it was soon to go turbo. I may still drop a ZC in that beast. Ran a best of 16.1 @ 81.6 mph. ALL STOCK minus the Pilot muffler I welded on the back. I loved that car alot. Damn rust got to her too soon though.

Loved the v6 engine, the leather, auto climate control, and the looks of the car. I didn't like how big it was and especially how big it felt to drive. The interior wasn't sporty and very, very, bland. It made me feel like I was 40 and like a spoiled kid. So, I got rid of it for the vic.

Rep Power: 0 My previous car (also my first car) was a '95 Mazda 626. It was nice when i first got it, it had leather, it was auto, LX trim, basicaly a nice car for a 16 year old. Then as the years went by it started slowly breaking down. I got in some minor accidents with it as well so it had a few dents. I didnt take care of it (washed it a few times a year, was late with oil changes, etc) so i guess i got what i deserved!! I sold the car 2 weeks ago and have had my '02 Civic since April 30'th (by the way i baby this car, no worries!).
