Just leased a 2013 Civic Sedan EX-L with the Polished Metal Metallic and gray interior.
Some may say leasing is a poor option but with minimal budget and with my daughter a bout to be born, I had to do something quick (and affordable) from a 2007 Civic Coupe LX (manual) to this four door, semi-luxurious in its class, automatic vehicle. Plus, with traveling 70+ miles/day 5 days/week can be quite expensive.
Though, my only complaint (so far) is that I do NOT like the "glitter" around the dash, on the gear shift plate (or whichever is the proper term) and the section around the steering wheel.
What are my options on fixing this? I assume tinting the windows would help as it is only visible in sunlight.
I appreciate any advice.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

First complaint about THAT I've heard. LOL.
Probably shouldn't do too much "fixing" on it as it will be turned in and money deducted at the end of the lease if they have to un-modify it.
Cover it in black electrical tape? IDK...
Don't stare at the dash?

Haha, I could just not look at it.
The residual at the end of the lease would be similar to if I would've bought the car initially and how much I would've paid into the car in 3 years. The main reason I leased was for a cheaper note right now anyway. So far, I have full intention on purchasing the car after the lease ends
Does anyone else notice the "glitter"? Haha, it's just annoying. But what an improvement overall in the interior and exterior, overall impressed.

I thinks they look noticeably better than the '12s on the road - particularly from the rear view. I have seen several. The interiors were substantially improved as well, brakes are larger, spring/damper rates increased, etc.
