Definition #2 covers it, I think. I didn't read past that.

just pick up this months issue of Honda Tuning and you will see what nice looks like. as far as rice... watch the first first Fast and the Furious movie and you will pretty much get an idea of what NOT to do!
Re: what the difference between ricer and nice
Anything that looks like a stereotypical teenager put together is rice (huge spoiler on a civic, body kits that are overkill, lambo doors, DIYs that are done cheaply and poorly),
Nice is simply put, nice. Everything on the car compliments each other.

Keeping it as stock as possible is nice. OEM (Original).
OEM fog lights, OEM Si spoiler, OEM Si Taillights, ITR black (inside) headlights, Si grill. Type R or Mugen lip,
Not lowered over the wheels. Back raised higher than the front a lil.
Not having a sub that rattles the whole car...
You know how modern furniture is kickass? How is it called... oh yea contemporary furniture, Its NICE and SIMPLE. That's a good example lolz.

so having a subwoofer is rice now ??? also there is clean rice and dirty rice. i personally think of a rice as any fad that gets played out like hellaflush i mean body kits and neons are still big in japan so really it all boils down to culture and perspective.

Re: what the difference between ricer and nice
i guess before i buy anything ill have to ask. lol i had a neon when fast n furious came out and i went crazy with it lol i had this huge aluminum wing that looked like a guard rail stuck to the trunk. it was sooo low and had subs and speakers everywere. if i can find a picture of it ill post it so everyone can get a good laugh. im 36 with 2 kids and a wife so a car that is spray bombed flat black with a bunch of junk and stickers on it isn't going to fly.

As long as it's not overdone, and done to your liking, it will be nice.
Re: what the difference between ricer and nice
My thoughts on what a ricey car is.
A ricey car is a car where most of the mods don't provide function, like CAIs (yeah I know 5HP gain from air density increase), fart can exhaust, huge rims but tiny sidewalls, aesthetic wings, fake turbo whistle on exhaust pipe, fake turbo gate speaker, lowered to the point where it has to crawl over speed bumps. Blue/purple/pink HIDs, underbody LEDs that aren't close to white (for puddle lights), those big tow hook things ricers/racers put on their cars (just use the trailer hitch, oh wait you don't have one and you're too low to use the stock front hooks to not rub the front bumper), ridiculous tint, body kits, and worst of all, all that in combination with stinky exhaust because you have an OBD1 car or a CAT delete, crappy engine/CAT. And also all that with empty fast food cartons all over the back seat and passenger seat or other crap like that.
Of course all the mods on my car are functional but I guess it depends on whether the person determining whether it's ricey or not, thinks any of those mods are useful or not. The least functional thing on my car is the train bell, but it's a lot of fun and how can you say that having something that belongs on the side of a locomotive is ricey? It's hidden underneath
