Dropped civics... Wtf
Re: Dropped civics... Wtf
That's your opinion...I think all cars should be lowered. It looks better and lowers the center of gravity so it handles better. Civics are very popular cars and they handle good so you will see a lot of them lowered. Cars = low Truck = raised

If I didn't need the clearance, I would totally drop my Sonoma a few inches.

When I left the house this morning I totally agreed with this statement then I got to work and there was a '96ish Civic coupe with Acura rims and lower profile tires (I know this because it was parked right next to a stock 2000 coupe). God, did it look dumb not lowered. Like a big car on little tires.
I couldn't agree more.

Yeah it can look good as long as you don't overdo it. But it's not practical. In the real world the streets can damage a lowered car. I often see debris on the highway which I can often drive right over without having the object strike the underside of the vehicle -- something not possible with a lowered vehicle. I wouldn't do it. If I had a show car, then maybe. But for a daily driver, no way.

i agree. i lol every time i see a lowered truck. no matter if you have springs and could haul a trillion pounds, still looks funny. i'm a country boy, and all my friends with trucks go up. lowering cars makes the gap less and look better, but rough roads are kinda bad; and snow is no fun where i live, but i still wunna drop my civic a bit. not gunna be racist, but i know some people like to drop trucks more than others
to each their own.
i was trying to hold back after reading the "dont feed the trolls" lmao nice sl33, but what the heck

On the flip side, what is the point of raising a truck if you don't rock crawl with it? Mudding as a recreation as well, I suppose... but if you work on a farm, the mud you'd drive through on a daily basis doesn't require 38's and a 6 inch lift. Just wondering... and cars look better with an inch or 2 off that wheel gap.

Re: Dropped civics... Wtf
when i dumped my civics and I scrapped or pulled my bumper off I laughed hysterically because i did not care, I now drive a lowered civic (2 inches) only because I wanted a smoother ride. its your opinion i like the look of a lowered civic, I think stock ones look like retarded monster trucks, lifting trucks is cool too I have an 04 Colorado lifted 3" with 33's, Like stated above I also believe trucks should be left alone or lifted, and a car should be left alone or dropped, everyone has their preference, doesn't give you a right to bash people, same how people have body kits and crazy paint, THEY LIKE IT leave them alone, people modify their cars how they like, not how YOU like. so think about it before you make fun of people. I'm sure there are tons of people that don't something above your car.
Re: Dropped civics... Wtf
I have a dropped civic and i've never taken off my bumper or hit the ground and i live in Houston! These streets make Mexico's shitty dirt roads feel like fresh paved asphalt, and yeah its a daily driver. I guess its taste, you like beef and some pussies like...leaves, to each his own. I like the way it looks and handles, and if the streets are too "rough" then learn how to deal with it.
Like some of you I like trucks lifted, but i've also seen some awesome trucks lowered, hell we have an F-150 lariat that's lifted and i think it looks great, not like its a work truck or anything its not overdone either.
