hey guys im really sorry for posting this thread to the general ramblings it should have been on the detailings. i just figure out ill get faster responses because i know that most people read general ramblings and and off topic not much in other sections. im trying to hurry up because the weather is good today, and tomorrow i have to work, so ill go to autozone once i got some answers.

i just have a simple question.

meguiars 3 step system. do u really have to do the 3 steps? because i dont have enough time.

can u skip step 1 and just do step 2 and 3?
can u skip step 1 and 2 and just do 3?

if you're rushed I would just do a layer of wax, if your car has a previous layer then go w/ regular wax. I like meguire's gold. If no wax or really old put a layer of cleaner wax down.

so u mean to say u can just wash the car and just do step 3? the waxing part?

ya this way your paint will be protected, you can do the 3 step at a later time then when you have more time

let me get this straight, is just washing the car ok? i had the car for 1 year now and all ive done is washing it and polishing here and there probably 3 times. but i never waxed it? should i wax it? or which one is necessary? polishing or waxing?

It's aways a good idea to wax the car - you're basically putting a layer of protection on the car for the paint and such...plus, you wanna be able to have that bad boy glossin when yer flossin...

yeh i feel bad now cuz i havent waxed my car since i bought it..... anyways i'll try to wax her today though cuz i just washed her
