Crazy Rev Limiter??

Crazy Rev Limiter?? Help Somebody!!! I have a 2001 honda civic..the other day when i was driving to work my aftermarket intake came a lose and now my car runs crazy. i reset the computer but still the same problem. when the rpms reach about 4000-4500 the car revs up and down, just like it has a rev limiter on it.. it wont go past 5000 rpm at all. plus its idling wierd and the tranny i shifting wierd did a ..sensor go bad?? the egr valve is what it acts like...

stop in any autozone or similar and have the engine codes read.

It sounds like your car is in limp mode, it has to do with timing, go to your ignition coil under the hood and make sure it is plugged in correctly
