Annoying drivers in my neighbourhood who always redline their cold cars
This has been going on for awhile but really been getting on my nerves lately. It seems every driver on on my street always floors their cars from cold start in the morning. Doesnt matter if its -35 out in the winter they still floor it, literally pedal to the metal right after they start it. I can hear them every day from my basement cars reving to the moon.
Unlike some people i actually care about my car and dont rev it past 3000rpms when cold and take it easy for the first few mins. But these guys will tailgate me to the end of the block cause im not redlining it. Its become a habit where ive even watched and waited for specific neighbours to go first but it seems im always caught with another driver behind me who likes to redline a cold car and gets so impatient that this one lady even once rolled down her window and screams profanities at me.
Just like the brakes i take it easy on them when cold. But all these people on my street just love slamming them hard on the first stop.
I dont care what they think i just dont go pedal to the metal on a cold car. Anyone else find this with their neighbours? Im getting really fed up and dont know what to do. Im almost tempted to one day just slam on my brakes so they can hit m and up goes their insurance.

I actually take a massive amount of enjoyment watching the person behind me in the morning swearing as I drive the limit, accelerating and stopping slowly, with plenty of time to stop for coffee, and they're late for work rushing.

Something about this story seems off.
Are you going the speed limit while they pile up behind you? Or are you crawling down the street because you dont want to press on the gas at all for the first few minutes?
Secondly, let them kill their car. At the end of the day, they're paying for it in gas/maintenance. Why should you care?

i love it when someone rides my *** when im doing the speed limit because then ill either brake check the mother fer or i will literally drive 10 mph even if in a 40 ****em.

Your probably going 20 under the limit... I'd be annoyed too. Drive your damn car or get off the road. Believe it or not going UNDER the speed limit is dangerous too.

Once i get onto the main road i do 50 and limit is 50. I just dont floor it. Everyone here thinks the street is a race track.

Why put it in second? Pop the Car into "D" like it's supposed to be driven. Drive normally up to the stop sign. 300ft is a pretty long way to "just roll" and would be annoying as hell for anyone behind you. I have a sign way less than 300 ft from my drive way and i'm doing 40kph before I get to it and I dont "slam on the gas" it takes less then 50 feet to get up to that speed.

residential streets here are only 25mph and there are kids/animals outside all the time. still you have idiots flooring their car on a one block stretch of road just to slam the brakes a few seconds later. if any of these guys hits someone, i dont know if i would be able to contain myself when i have a 2 ft breaker bar nearby.
