bumpsteer.....any one w/ a lowered 7th gen, i am sure has experienced it......you are in a turn w/ a bump, and you hit the bump, and the car wants to change direction, this is called bumpsteer.....the reason it occurs is because when the car is lowered the geometry of the steering rack is upset

well, up here in PA, the roads suck, and i experience bumpsteer constantly, and it is rather annoying....

i was looking through a catalog for truck parts and came acrross a part to correct bumpsteer on raised trucks....basically it relocates the mounting point for the tie rod end....

too explain this i have included a few drawings...

picture 1 shows the steering geometry in stock form

picture 2 shows the steering geometry when the car is lowered

picture 3 shows the possible solution......

a company needs to invest some time and effort to create a way of relocating the mounting point for our tie rod ends, to reduce bumpsteer

any input is welcomed...

Wait, I hear someone did that without an adapter. I think you can relocate the tie rod to be under rather than over the mounting point. Not entirely sure, but I'm at 80%.
