300hp Civic worth buying???
300hp Civic worth buying???
Hey guys, I am thinking of buying a 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback Turbo. The car is going for $8500 and has a brand new engine and transmission with only 3000kms on both, a JDM turbo kit running 15 PSI. The engine is a D16Z6 VTEC, has a blow off valve, top mount wastegate, torque dampening bar, new engine mounts, 5 speed short shift, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, turbo timer, mugen front lip, mugen racing wheel, mugen shift ****, adjustable cilovers, front mount intercooler, and apperently pushes 300+ HP. Is this car worth the money? How reliable will it be? Will it be fine for winter driving? How fast would you recon a 0-60mp/h would be on this? Thanks!
Re: 300hp Civic worth buying???
Are you mechanically inclined? Depending upon who built it, who tuned it and what was used to tune will depend upon how reliable it is. Personally anything modified I stay away from becaus eyou dont really know what your getting into. If you have a wide knowledge of turbos and such then it may be a thing to consider otherwise if something breaks what do you plan on doing? (Keep in mind many mechanics may not touch it)
