It's amazing how a few exterior accessories make that car look so much better. That must be one fun *** car to drive. I bet if we ever did see the ctr here it would sell for 25-30k.

<< id rather have that engine in my 2k2 coupe >>
I'd rather have the rsx-s! Even if these cars do make it over, the price is going to be outta reach for 99.9% of civic buyers.

For those bashing the new look, I hope your not just basing it off the pictures in the internet.
In person, it isn't *that* bad as I thought it was through pictures. In person, it actually grew on me. And I have seen around 3 of them on the road (white, yellow, white) and the white really got my attention.
I think much like our cars, once we see them natuarally at the street. They will be looking "normal" which would be a good thing.

If one had the money to do it, buy an SI then swap the K20A2 into it, get a gude package or something similar, whatever is available for that engine, then get the body kit and suspension, wheels, steering wheel, seats, emblems, and a 7thgencivic.com sticker, etc. W/O the sticker you probably can get it up to 250 hp, but with the sticker and its nitrous like benefits, you could probably push 400 hp. Bring on the Ferraris.
yeah. people probably have to grow on it..but i haven't yet. but i remember before i got my 2001 civic, all my friends said it was ugly and that they would slap me if i ever got one. well, a couple years later.. no one's saying anything and no one's definitely slappin anyone.. so i'll give the si a whole year in the US..
i hate the "having to grow on me" logic. why cant they just look good period? pictures, in person, what not. imo, the type r is ugly, just like the si
<< the more i see the SI.. the more it reminds me of a hampster >>
HAHAHA, I dare someone to paint it brown and put black dots on the headlights! Photoshop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Civic Type R and I like the current SI.
I like most others thought the new styling was awful from the magazines, but after seeing the car upfront in person with bigger wheels, it is really, really nice.
Still too expensive, if the Type R was over here with the same price then to me thats a must buy @ 19,000.
But for the SI there are many alternatives.
