<< Maybe if the guy driving the porsche knew how to drive properly this wouldn't have happened. It is a proven fact the where they have the autobahn (sp?) and ppl are driving at much higher speeds that there are no more if not less acidents!!! I know for a fact that I drive better at faster speed because I am much more alert and aware of whats going on around and far ahead infront of me.

and about knowing the road, you never know when theres gonna be a new pothole. just the other day i was driving on a highway im on a couple times a week and there was a brand new huge pothole

As to the speed, I do believe you are more alert when you are going fast, but definitely NOT 120! or even 80mph...
Point is you are more alert driving 45mph on the left lane than cruising @ 25mph on the right lane. HOWERVER, It balances out with the breaking distance.
As to the farmers making money, I read somewhere they are subsidized by the government on a 25 or 50% basis, in other words they only grow 50% of the land, and the government buys their crops X2. Pretty good business if you ask me, I heard a lot of Disney and Microsoft CEOs were buying land so they can get reimbursed from the govt...
