<< I don't think it is ugly but I do think it looks like a girls car. >>

I think that the 7th gen coupes look like a girls car & my b/f agrees. I just laugh every time I see a guy w/ one.

The new Si is hated with a passion by a lot of people. Seriously, I went to ClubSi and read some of their threads. It's crazy. But I like it and personally who cares what other people say.

It's funny, because I'll go to other sites *cough-superhonda-cough* and as soon as I say I have a 2001, everybody rips me. But they have mixed opinions on the Si. The new Si is sooooo much better than what the rest of us here have performance wise(just look at the type R suspension), and yet everyone here can't accept it? I've test driven it, and if my insurance wasn't so high already, I would buy it. I may buy it anyway.

Yeah other sites are pretty bad. A lot of people think that buying these cars was a waste of money because you can't do anything. Whatever.

I see sedans more often than coupes though, and it's usually older men & women driving them. I saw a 60 year old man driving the coupe a few days ago.

<< Yup...... thats what a dealer here in San Antonio, Tx is asking for them.... they have 4. Two were in the back and two were up front where everybody could see...

One was that mustard color
Other one was white

The sales guy said they actually marked them down in price because they weren't selling them like they thought..
They had those two in the front of the dealship for 10 days already......

hmmmmm...... maybe i'll trade up

One of the good things about these cars is that they are an actual import. 18,250 for a British import is about as low as you'll be able to get, and not that many cars are being imported from Britain these days.

If you like the car I would say go for it, maybe. On the other hand you might want to wait a year to see if the bugs are out of the next year's model. The price probably won't drop though, they will probably either decide to continue to import them at the same price or higher if popular, make them here, or drop the model.

It's a gamble, but not an uneducated risk. If you like the car, then $18,250 for what you can call a British roadster is not such a bad deal. It could be a potential collector's item.

Well if you are not a totally impatient sonofabitch(like me), you could just wait another year and see if everything that's been said about the type R coming here is true.

I only mentioned the one year because the 02 Civic seems a little better than the 01 and the price is about unchanged.

With something like the si, $18,250 may only come once in a lifetime. And if it does turn out to be too much for the car, you still probably still have a good car, how much can you lose on the book value $2,000 maybe? And if you like the car that might not even matter at all.

Saw dealership here in Chicago advertising $18500 so it seems like they're coming to their senses.

I went to Lute Riley in Dallas yesterday and they had 2 out front. A black one and a silver. They are asking $19,440. Just not my style.
