going to morosso this weekend!

well i have decided to go test my little civic!
i got a DX 5 speed with a custom made CAI and custom Cat-back
that's it.....
so i wanna know a couple of things...
if i race and i chirp tires when shifting to second gear does this mean you doing good on speed or is this actually bad?
also when i double clutch in second gear and chirp tires is this a good sign or a bad sign?

ALSO:
GIMME SOME POINTERS AS WHAT TO DO? DROP CLUTCH AT WHAT RPM'S OR WHAT ELSE COULD I DO TO GET A BETTER TIME....

thanks

first off, you don't need to double-clutch in our cars. it is not necessary. you need to get a feel for what rpm to take off at-->start at 3500 rpm and see what type of tire spin you got coming off the line. for me, I'm comfortable now taking off at around 3700 rpm although it depends on certain nights depending on how responsive the car is. lower your tire pressure to about 25 psi for starters. chirping is GOOD, it means you're doing something a lot of people call speedshifting (or powershifting, whatever). Always keep your foot all the way down on the gas (some people don't know this), and practie chirping going into 3rd because it's very difficult trying to chirp when you're going into that gear. that's all that comes to mind for now
good luck colombiano
