Video of me driving S2000 from a 6500rpm drop (and roll)
Some interest in this was showed, so I thought I'd post the vids. It's me driving the car and my friend taping. This was on a private road owned by my friend, so no where near the public. (other than my friend's and his neighbor's house)
If you want to hear what 9,300rpm sounds like, here you go.
The first was from a 6500rpm drop (about ideal launch for our cars). My 1-2 shift was not as good as it could have been.
from a drop
From a roll, so you can see the differences in life before/after 6000rpm

Nice thanks for the videos. I can now see what you're talking about. Too bad I won't be able to afford this for a while. But I am thinking of a Del Sol VTEC. If I'm correct it has the exact same engine as in the Si.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I am glad I can afford one. But don't get me wrong. I still love any honda. And civic is what got me started on Hondas. I'm just glad to talk to other Honda enthusiasts. These videos were simply for showing my driving techniques as well as what an S2000 really sounds like.
Yeah, 104mph. Been there a few times.
snowman, make sure you get the DOHC vtec. That is the same engine as the Si. There are many more single overhead cam del sols than dual overhead cam. make sure you get the right one if that's what you are looking for.
Civicboi, I shift at between 3000 and 4000 for normal driving.

Yes I have to watch out for those guys trying to peddle off their Del Sol Si's as the VTEC model with DOHC. I am defintely going for that one. I shall call it the mini S2000, until I am able to get the real thing. I think a good competitior to the S2000 might be the SLK320 or 32 AMG. What do you think of those cars? (They're also on my future car list )

The AMG is about on part with the S2000's speed and accerleration. But the plain SLK is not. Either way it's a mercedes, and a damn good looking one at that!
Mini-S2000. lol. I shall call him.... mini-s2000. like my S2000 in every way..... 1/3 the size. lol Dr. evil is funny.

Yeah think about it, they share so many similarities. And if you skint hard enough, you can't tell the difference from far. LOL. Yeah I'm quite a Benzo fan myself, but that SLK32 is no joke. It runs 0-60 in about 5 secs or less. I believe that's faster than the S2000 but then again it cost twice the S2000.
