Rep Power: 0 I almost bought one of those... 1993-94 model, the thing that stopped me is the repair costs... Not cheap, especially for the VR-4... think about it.... electronic spoiler, 4 wheel drive (more or less), etc...
Not cheap, but if funds are ok then go get it.... Nice fast ride and when you upgrade/boost the turbos.... definate power

Rep Power: 0 Anyone know about the reliability of the engine? Also body kits and what not? I am more interested in the new style I believe that they switched in 95, I like the newer headlight setup, not the pop up ones...keep the info coming I appreciate it.

Rep Power: 0 I say go for it .. I had a 91 VR-4 and it was a blast to drive. You will love it trust me. As far as aftermarket parts there werent much in the appearance dept...but as far as performance, I had a borla catback, and K&N fipk.. that was about it. You dont really need to add aftermarket parts to it tho cause its damm near perfect stock. If you have any questions just email me or pm me. Later

Rep Power: 0 Mitsubishi isn't known for its reliability.. however, I would LOVE to have a VR-4, especially with a '99 headlight conversion! Build quality isn't particularly good on the body, but the engine's not bad. Or else they wouldn't use them in GT class racing over in Japan! Performance = also, aftermarket support isn't at the level that Honda's at, but they make plenty of go-fast parts, and if you can't get them here, there's always JDM stuff, which I'd prefer, anyway.

Rep Power: 0 yea the 3000GT vr4 is not very reliable. mits in general aren't unreliable cars but they aren't hondas, toyotas, or v6/8 chevies either. personally i don't like to get used cars b/c there has to be a reason why the person who had it first didn't want it.
my cuz had one, they are fast but they are very heavy too. i don't know any numbers on them but i would estimate the 1/4 in the 14's.

Rep Power: 0 the 3000 gt vr-4 is a fast car...it's main advantage is drag racing...but b/c of its very portly weight it doesn't fair so well on tracks and does even worse on autox courses...the package is enticing though (awd, 4ws, 300+hp)
the truth is the stealth and the 3000gt aren't good choices for daily driver duties...repairs are really expensive and the whole car is sub-average in reliability...but for a kickin street drag racer they are a steal

Rep Power: 0 they have a button that electronically switches the suspension from hard to soft, and although it was a big car, that thing handled great around curves..when i got rid of that then drove my civic, i almost spun out in the civ..being so used to taking turns quickly
