okay.. i'm pretty sure i'll get flamed for this but i made a ram air induction using aluminum flex dryer pipe.... i took off my air silencer box and connected one end of the pipe to the opening where the air silencer box would have connected so it would still be filtered.... i ran the pipe down so the end of the pipe would face toward the front... i took it for a test drive and it works pretty good... the aluminum pipe was cold after the drive so i figure the air going into the throttle body is cold also... btw.. this isn't a perminant mod.... i'll take it off once K&N call and tell me when the intake kit is ready for installation... i can feel a difference in the high end... and the sound is really deep and throaty... oh well.. i'm pretty sure none of you will request a DIY on this... but if i do get any requests.. i'll try my best to get it up... LOL
oh btw... i'll be sure to take if it ever starts to rain er something.. i doubt it'll rain anytime soon... it's rather dry here in so cal nowadays...

okay i'll try my best not to flame because it's a temporary thing, but that is incredibly rice... i really doubt you have any significant gains whether you're going fast or not, plus it might look really stupid, depending on where you placed it.
but hey doing weird stuff like that might actually work and trying is the only way to find out...

Yeah thats exactly how most ram air kits for late model mustangs work, they just reroute and point the intake (usually a plastic rectangle) forward and mount in under the front bumper (yes is you hit a curb the intake is the first to go), Way to go for being the first on a 2k1civic tho
