that was horrible -

hi, what I meant to say is that on the 2002 Civic EX, when the alarm system is activated there is a small 5mm led light that blinks. It is located somewhere south west of the steering wheel. If anyone know where I could purchase LED's in various colors of this same size and voltage LED I would very much appreciate the help.

my 2k1 didn't come with an led stock, but the alarm I purchased did

you'll most likely need a 12v LED... go to radioshack

Does the 12v LED have to be a "blinking" LED, as the guy at radio shack told me I had to have, or ??

thx.

The guy and radio shack is a dumb ***. All you should need is a regual LED unless the factory alarm was set up different than every other alarm out there.

I might be wrong here (Its happened once before ) but I don't think its a 12Volt LED. I believe the majority of them are more like 4 or 5 volts. Anyway, the blinking is caused by the alarm itself turning the power off/on to the LED. The LED itself does not blink. Radio Shack has a few different colors of LEDs. Any of them would work fine for you. However, I do recommend the VARAD leds. They come in 4 different colors and a very bright and noticeable.
